Is it safe?
Your Steam credentials stay on your PC and are never sent to SkinFolio servers. The app reads your inventory directly from Steam, read-only, using your own login.
Do I need CS2 installed?
No. SkinFolio Desktop reads your items directly through your own Steam login - including Storage Units and private inventories that Steam's public API doesn't expose. A Steam account that owns CS2 is enough (Free-to-Play works).
Does the app need to stay open?
No. Open it only for importing. Your data is saved to your SkinFolio account and available everywhere afterwards - including skinfolio.net.
What happens to my Steam account?
Nothing changes on your account. The app opens a read-only Steam connection to fetch your items, then closes it again. Your login stays on your PC the whole time.
Why does Windows show a SmartScreen warning?
This happens with new apps that don't have a code-signing certificate. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". The app is safe.
